At Yomdel we're constantly on the lookout for great infographics that succinctly gather key ecommerce intelligence and then present it in a simple yet engaging graphical style. As part of our end of year round up (yes, another one!), we thought it may be useful to share those infographics that best illustrate ecommerce trends and tips for best online customer service practice, with a particular reference to how live chat is increasingly emerging as a preferred online communication channel.

There will be a series of posts over the next few days sharing those infographics that we love. First up is this cracking example called "How Do Social Login & Sharing Affect Ecommerce?" from Monetate. Now, while many of these originate from the US, that doesn't necessarily mean they are not relevant to the UK or other parts of the world, far from it. And I hear you say that live chat doesn't feature in this example. True, but in our socially connected digital world, people are far more likely to converse with strangers online than ever before. Those that use social media tools within their ecommerce activities are also far more likely to engage in live chat. If social media logins and sharing can help reduce basket abandonment, then even greater success will be found if live chat is also offered.
