Andy is the vision behind Yomdel. He’s a former journalist and foreign correspondent with a story or two to tell after postings to Vietnam and Pakistan, among other places. He is passionate about digital engagement and bringing great human interaction to company websites.
Andy is a huge rugby fan, and couple that with the occasional pint of ale and he is guaranteed to be a happy man!
Tim looks after the business here in Billingshurst and also ensures a never-ending supply of biscuits. Tim’s main job, after looking after the people and finances, is managing Yomdel’s impressive growth.
Tim’s online passion is Facebook and Twitter, and when he’s not causing a storm tweeting about his favourite football team (Brighton) he’s creating numerous “polls” to try to get more followers. Bit sad maybe, but he enjoys it!
He’s old skool when it comes to online games, preferring Suduko and 2048 (whatever that is!) to anything too gamey!

Simon makes Yomdel tick. He manages the operational strategy behind the service ensuring Yomdel clients enjoy the best results and highest quality at all times.
He joined Yomdel when it was a fledgling company following a career in the media industry spanning more than 30 years. After learning his trade as a regional newspaper journalist he held various reporting, editing and senior managerial roles at various UK newspaper groups and two national news agencies.
He’s as passionate about ensuring quality, efficiency and superb customer service as he is about words and grammar, and he’s an absolute stickler for that!
Proudest sporting moment: Silver medalist in the 1991 World Plastic Bath Racing Championships.
Known for: Terrible puns, cheesy jokes and winding Bazza up mercilesslessly.
After six years running a pub, Becks joined Yomdel back in March 2015 as a Live Chat Supervisor. Now Operations Manager, she leads the day-to-day running of the service and ensures the team is providing the superb customer service that Yomdel is so renowned for.
Favourite month: Autumn – especially because of the countless dog walks to the pub and Sunday afternoons spent in front of the fire!
Bucket list travel destination: Backpack South America, trek Machu Picchu.
After numerous years working with B2B and B2C businesses to develop ecommerce strategies, James joined the Yomdel team in 2017. Charged with growing the sales team as well as the sales, he is very much looking forward to the challenge.
Online quirk: YouTubing bands from the 90’s proving to his kids that music was much better when he was a teenager.
Proudest Sporting achievement: With a group of old friends James cycled from John O’Groats to Lands End in just nine days, raising more than £30k for MacMillan Cancer Support. James would love to do it all again with the assistance of an electric bike.
Sporting shame: A late starter to the gentle game of rugby, James still believes he can get on the pitch and put the 1st team players to shame. He can’t, and really ought to stick to the veterans team (or the couch).
Melissa joined Yomdel in 2017 having most recently worked as Head of Marketing at Northwood. In her job at Yomdel Melissa is challenged with spreading the word of the company’s stratospheric success in delivering outstanding customer service and driving high value sales leads for our customers and piquing the interest of those yet to come on board.
Online quirk: Melissa is well known for asking Siri for answers to random questions that come up in conversation because she ‘just can’t not know NOW’.
Celebrity stalking moment: Holding up a plane in LA (not my fault) and then just about falling into the lap of Matt Lucas (of Little Britain fame)
Chris joined Yomdel in 2017 having spent a number (ok, lots) of years working within the online B2B space. At Yomdel Chris is working to refine the technical strategy, build teams and deliver solutions to help us grow while delivering innovative solutions for customer ROI.
Online quirk: YouTube seems to think he watches a lot of videos of 1960s racing Honda motorbikes, guitar tuition ‘how-to-plays’ and machine learning discussions/demonstrations

Favourite lunch: Cheese and pickle sandwiches – he once had them every working day for a year.
Noel joined Yomdel in 2017, having worked as senior product manager at several major publishers from a multitude of different sectors, from farming to nuclear energy. In his job at Yomdel, Noel is challenged with ensuring the product evolution meets and exceeds the customers expectation and Yomdel’s strategic objectives of being the class leading fully managed chat service.
Online quirk: Noel has worked with many people over the years that share their names with ‘celebrities’ past and present, including Karl Marx, Matt Lucas, Bill Murray and even an Attila.
Debbie joined Yomdel in 2016 as our resident trainer after leaving the education system where she worked as a specialist for raising attainment in Maths and English. Previously she worked abroad teaching English as a foreign language and specialising in Business English and communication.
In her role at Yomdel, Debbie is responsible for the training of all new and existing operators as well as maintaining and raising quality to ensure excellent customer service.
She also works as part of the customer service supervisor team.
Online quirk: Debbie is well known for spamming her friends with random of pictures of sunsets and nature in general.
Proudest moment: Qualifying as a counsellor and completing 400 hours of client work.
Barry joined the exciting and fun-loving world of Yomdel in January 2017 and says it has been (and continues to be) an incredible journey.
Part of the operations team, Barry supports both the live chat operators as well as Yomdel’s clients, making sure the service is spot on and provides the best customer service at all times.
Barry enjoys fitness and jet-skiing as well as doing regular walks in the countryside. He loves to travel, and says he’s been incredibly fortunate to see some incredible sights around the world over the years.
Famous for: Drawing his character ‘Jawdrop’ on whiteboards across the office complete with masterly motivational quotes.
Also known for: Making up nicknames for everyone in the office that have no bearing on their actual name or character.
Lucy joined Yomdel in October 2016 and has embraced her role in the Yomdel family. She is a customer service supervisor, responsible for monitoring and assisting the chat representatives and bringing on new clients.
She loves the diversity her role brings and is continuously learning and growing. In her spare time, she is often to be found chatting to her long distant friends online.
Favourite App: Lucy loves Amazon Prime, but then again who doesn’t love one-day shipping!
Dream holiday destination: Lucy dreams of going to Colorado ski-ing to add to the multitude of places she’s been on the piste.
Kaci joined Yomdel in 2017 having recently moved to England from Ireland. In her job at Yomdel Kaci is part of the Customer Service Supervisor team. Within this role she completes regular checks, supervises and monitors the oversea operators to ensure there is excellent customer service being shown towards our clients’ customers.
Online quirk: Kaci is known for her online shopping obsession!
Little known fact: Kaci Irish danced for 10 years!
Pippa joined Yomdel in 2017 having most recently worked as Reception Manager at a hotel. In her job at Yomdel, Pippa is part of them team responsible for supporting the daily operations of the overseas live chat operators, to ensure a consistent high quality of live chat engagements.

Lien has been close to Yomdel since the early days, and is the person who keeps the wheels turning, making sure all the critical admin tasks are done.
She’s the first point of contact for clients discussing their accounts and ensuring things are running smoothly. Back in her native Vietnam, Lien was originally a teacher of Russian as a foreign language. She is a fantastic cook, conjuring up delicious food from round the world. She loves to travel and is also married to Yomdel founder Andy.
Most unusual experience Lien spent a year studying at university in Minsk, in the then Soviet Republic of Belorussia (now Belarus), and has also lived in Singapore and Pakistan before moving to the UK in 2002.
